It's the beginning of the new year 2011. It's been over a decade since the beginning of the twenty-first century, how does everyone feel? I personally like to think that all has gone well and will continue to do so. Looking back over the last ten years a lot has happened some good and some bad. A handful of catastrophes has happened and not in the land of Uncle Sam but around the world. People of the past have died and some I'm sure more than others went out with a bang.
Speaking of people passing away, I lost someone dear to my heart on 2009. She was a third grandmother to me and is forever immortalized on my leg. There are fond memories of her taking me to my first Mardi Gras, drinking margaritas by the pool and eating some excellent southern Mississippi food.
I'm sure most have lost a loved one or a mentor maybe even a dear friend. Perhaps more than one in the past decade but we can never get their face or sometimes even their voice out of our heads. We carry the smiles and the laughter with us for the rest of our lives. I don't mean to dwell on negativity but looking back we as a nation have lost many that made this country so great.
Views in the country have changed some for the better and others are less appreciated. We have been at war for far too long, we elected our first black president, and we still use things that are made in China (makes ya feel good don't it?). Yes, I believe this new decade will be full of surprises.
I like to write and I want others to enjoy it as well.

Call of Duty: Black Ops (review 2.Jan.2011)
Verdict on Call Of Duty: Black Ops. It has some really awesome points, such as flying a helicopter through the jungles of Vietnam, and going through the rat holes with only a flashlight and a pistol. Then it all turns to shit with major gun fights. There is no direction with most of the fighting. Cover is worthless and it seems that you are a fucking wimp that can't take any damage. Your "buddies" are..well if you remember playing Goldeneye for N64...they are like Natalia, fucking worthless! The story for the game is really good has a pretty sweet twist. That doesn't make up for the fact that this game fails hard in the general game play.
The weapons are superb with many to choose from. You have period weapons (Vietnam, you have weapons from that time period during the war). When you play as the Russian you fight with Russian weapons. The artwork again superb. Seeing the choppers with the Army insignia on the tail is simply awesome.
If you like gore in your war games then defiantly put this one on high. Looking after the devastation of a long fire fight I saw feet and arms dismembered with bone shining in the sunlight. When in the rat tunnels of Vietnam and using the magnum, there is nothing more satisfying than blowing a unsuspecting Congs arm off.
The ending (Don't worry no spoiler alert): It almost made up for it...almost. Finishing the last mission was more like waking up from a nightmare than a feeling of accomplishment. This title like the previous Call Of Duty titles has something at the end of the credits. All I'm going to say is that you get to meet Kennedy again with a couple new friends.
Rating: A solid 5/10. It didn't meet my expectations. The gun fights felt rushed and sloppy while the beginning or ending of a mission would be really awesome and pretty fun. It's a decent game but I would recommend it as a rental. I wouldn't purchase this until the price goes down or you see it at Gamestop in there "Previously Played" section.
